COLLEGE FOOTBALL POWER RATINGS:
The Kenneth Massey Interviews
Overview
Power ratings operate on a number of levels during the college football season and can impact game results in a number of ways.

1. Team power ratings as a predictor of game margin and outcome against the point spread.
2. Power ratings are used as the underlying numerical indicator in rankings (BCS).
3. The use of rankings in the promotion of game match-ups affecting public perception of the line.
4. Ranked match-ups as an aspect of a team's emotional maturity - "up or down for a game".
5. Power ratings as ranking elements which are driven in part by MOV and its impact on late game coaching decisions.
